BRIGHTON and Hove Albion’s official charity teamed up with a Brighton Fringe performer to raise awareness of cancer symptoms.

Albion in the Community (AITC) hosted a free performance of The Eulogy of Toby Peach show at Komedia Studio in Gardner Street.

Peach, a theatre maker, performer and director, shared his personal experience of cancer with the audience, from diagnosis to remission, relapse and treatment.

Sue Brown, who runs AITC’s Speak Up Against Cancer campaign, was delighted with the event.

She said: “Toby’s show was thought-provoking and emotional and it was fantastic to see so many people come along.

“Toby illustrated perfectly how important the tireless work of the NHS and its staff is in helping to save people of all ages through its treatment for cancer.

“It was a powerful reminder of the importance of early detection and how noticing the signs and symptoms of cancer as early as possible can increase chances of successful treatment.”
