HUNDREDS of people stepped out under the stars to raise money for a hospice.

The sponsored walk at the weekend was in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice in Crawley and took place in and around Horsham.

Those taking part in the walk, which was marking its tenth anniversary, were given T-shirts to wear and glow sticks to help them make their way along either a seven, 13 or 20-mile route.

After completing their walking challenge, people were welcomed back by cheering hospice staff who congratulated them with a well-deserved medal and breakfast.

Hospice events fundraiser Hannah Shorter said: “With so many people coming out to support St Catherine’s we had an unforgettable night.

“There was a buzz from start to finish and we’d like to thank every person who took part.”
