More than 14,700 riders are taking part in the annual London to Brighton Bike Ride.

Cyclists set off from Clapham Common and pedalled 54 miles from city to sea and raising over £2 million in the fight against heart disease.

Riders have been arriving in Madeira Drive since about 8am with the busiest wave between 10am and 2pm.

Madeira Drive will be fully closed until midnight on Sunday.

Coldean Lane will be closed until 9pm on Sunday, while Mill Road is shut til 9pm.

Brighton and Hove Buses has warned passengers that due to road closures, several services will be suspended or diverted throughout the day. More details can be found at buses.co.uk.

No bikes will be allowed on any Southern, Thameslink or Gatwick Express trains until midday.

After midday the restrictions will continue on train services leaving stations between Brighton and Gatwick.
