HISTORY was made on Saturday when the first wedding was held at a unique community facility.
Natalie Rea and Andrew Wiles were married at Bridge Cottage in Uckfield.
The building was saved from demolition in 1983 by Uckfield and District Preservation Society and the town council.
The medieval timber-framed single-aisle Wealden hall house was built around 1436.
It has recently been restored with the help of a grant from Heritage Lottery Fund to look much as it did in the 1600s.
Many more events and activities are planned for Bridge Cottage.
