A PROPERTY developer has lost 11 stone 4lb in just 13 months.

A year ago Jack Abboudi, from Woodland Avenue, Hove, weighed 26 stone 4lb and was living off takeaways.

But he was determined to change his ways so that he could enjoy family life.

The married father of two said his family was the catalyst to make him change his appearance and mentality.

Jack, 29, now 15 stone, said: “I just wanted to change my life for my children’s sake, pretty much. I want to live longer to spend more time with them.

“I used to be so lazy and didn’t want to do anything. Now I go out with my kids all the time to do physical activities like playing football, swimming and go for walks.

“They are happier because we do more together and it has definitely changed my relationship for the better, too.”

Jack, who went to Lancing College, is on the keto diet – a high-fat and protein diet that cuts out carbohydrates – and says it is the best for quick weight loss.

He eats two meals a day. He begins with a late breakfast at 11am and then dinner in the evening and combines his diet with weight training.

The change in appearance has also given Jack a confidence boost.

He said: “I feel a lot more comfortable going out in public now. Before I didn’t even want to leave my house because I didn’t feel up to it and was too lazy, but now I enjoy going out with my family.”

Jack has advice for people looking to lose weight.

He said: “Consistency is the key. Definitely start training as soon as possible because it gives you the kick you need to start working hard and achieving your goals.

“If you are training but eating badly, you won’t lose weight.”

He is now aiming to become a bodybuilder and wants to get down to ten per cent body fat. He plans to stay on the keto diet for the next two months and will change his programme then.

Jack also wants to help people who need motivation to lose weight and is offering extensive advice to anyone who wants it.

His wife Hannah said: “Jack’s transformation has been pretty amazing.

“He used to be really reserved and shy, but now he is always up for going out. It is so hard to stick to a diet and I am so proud of him for it.

“He has changed as a person and it is to see.”

Jack, who is father to Evie, three, and Abe, five, has already given advice to more than 100 people in the three weeks his Instagram page has been active.
