ONE of the country’s finest rose gardens is celebrating its 21st anniversary.
The Jay Robin’s Rose Garden at Borde Hill is named after the property owner’s eldest daughter, pictured.
Naming a garden after a member of the family is a long-standing tradition stretching back five generations at Borde Hill.
Jay is now a mother herself, to five month old Alfred.
This summer a rose named in his honour, Alfred Colomb Rose, is being planted in the garden.
Borde Hill, near Haywards Heath, is home to more than 100 varieties of roses.
As part of the garden’s 21st anniversary this week there will be a number of celebratory events. They include escorted tours of the garden.
