A HOVE recruitment agency is sponsoring two talented boxers as part of its support for the community.

The Shore Group has ten offices worldwide, including one in Boundary Road.

The first boxer is Nick Webb, the unbeaten heavyweight who has been travelling to London with Brighton’s former heavyweight champion Scott Welch for sessions with Dereck ‘Del Boy’ Chisora.

The other boxing talent is Brighton’s Lloyd Ellett who has only lost two of more than 20 fights and is also managed by Scott Welch.

The Shore Group also sponsors Brighton Rugby Club and Steyning Football Club.

Director Lewis Yorke-Johnson said: “We are very proud to support and sponsor national and local talent and use our support to encourage fun with our staff and clients which is hugely appreciated.”

The company has doubled in size and turnover year on year.

There are now seven distinct operating divisions and in 2016 it placed more than 15,000 operatives into temporary work.

Mr Yorke-Johnson said: “Fun is certainly part of our success since the pressures of the busy job are managed with a sense of humour in a fun environment with strong camaraderie.

“Outside the office, the team enjoys itself through a selection of incentive and entertainment opportunities.

“The scale of our operation and the way we have grown in the past few years has been to create an environment where people want to perform as the rewards on offer are worth working hard for.”

Frank Ashbee founded the Shore Group in 2008 with James Hobden and Lewis Yorke-Johnson.

The trio established the company after working for some of the UK’s largest construction recruitment organisations.

They have gained extensive experience of working within the industry and have built up a broad range of contacts and forged excellent relationships.
