BRIGHTON and Hove mayor Mo Marsh has a heartwarming moment with her teddy bear at the first ever University of Sussex community festival.

The Labour councillor was playing doctors as she joined 3,000 visitors to take up the chance to have a look around and take part.

The Argus editor Arron Hendy was among the experts giving an insight into a range of subjects taught at the university as he and James Williams, lecturer in education, gave a talk on media ethics.

Elsewhere attendees were given a privileged peek at how scientific discoveries are made with a guided laboratory tour, learnt about law courts through a mock trial, explored a bee’s eye view of the world using virtual reality and trying out a range of sports, including handball and extreme Frisbee.
