A LIONS club is helping Brighton and Hove Albion’s official charity provide football sessions for people with a disability.

Burgess Hill District Lions Club recently donated £1,300 to Albion in the Community o help pay for a coach at the charity’s Burgess Hill session.

AITC is the largest provider of disability football opportunities in the area and now runs more than 25 regular sessions throughout Sussex.

This includes a number of pan-disability clubs that take place in Brighton, Burgess Hill, Worthing, Eastbourne, Horsham and Chichester.

Delivering such a comprehensive disability football programme is expensive, meaning donations like the one from Burgess Hill District Lions Club are not only hugely-appreciated, but also make a significant impact on both the charity and the people who attend its sessions.

Paul Brackley, AITC’s disability manager, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the members of Burgess Hill District Lions Club for offering to support our session in Burgess Hill.”
