TWO boys were arrested after crashing a BMW following a police chase.
Officers on patrol in Lewes Road, Brighton, saw a blue BMW 3 Series with a defective headlight.
Moments later the vehicle sped off from traffic lights and the officers pursed it.
The BMW came to a stop after crashing into a lamp post and phone box at the junction of Davey Drive and The Crossway, around 2am on Tuesday.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without a licence and insurance.
His passenger, a 17-year-old boy, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and causing property damage.
Both teenagers, from Brighton, were released under investigation.
