THE March of the Mermaids returned to Brighton yesterday.
The fifth annual parade along the seafront to raise awareness of marine conservation took place from 3pm.
The group, dressed in their finest mermaid tails, meet at Hove Lawns near the Peace Statue and processed along the seafront promenade to the Fortune of War pub.
The event raised funds for the environmental charity Surfers against Sewage.
This year this was no entry fee but a donation of £3 per person was invited towards the charity.
See tomorrow's Argus for a picture special from the event.
