A BUS shelter has received a colourful makeover for Brighton Pride.

Artists from the Art+Believe project transformed the Old Steine bus shelter, which is in front of the Royal Pavilion.

Brighton and Hove Buses commissioned the group to create something to celebrate the upcoming Pride celebrations.

Graphic artist Daniel Doherty from Art+Believe said: “We’ve never done a bus shelter before and to have the Pavilion as a backdrop has just been amazing.

“We were trusted by Brighton and Hove Buses to create something really exciting and fun that encapsulated the Pride festival. We knew it needed to be dramatic and bold as something more detailed would lose impact.”

Art+Believe is also behind the huge mural on top of the Holiday Inn building, which can be seen from the top of the i360.
