A MAN is accused of cutting a nurse’s face with a large kitchen knife.
Kevin Boarer is alleged to have slashed mental health nurse Liam O’Reilly across the nose with the blade when he was called to Boarer’s home to help him on March 1.
Boarer, 57, of Collingwood Close, Peacehaven, did not indicate a plea to a charge of actual bodily harm when he appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Magistrates ruled the case was too serious for them to deal with and sent it to the crown court.
Boarer was bailed to appear at Lewes Crown Court on August 16.
