AMERICAN songwriter Father John Misty will play Brighton Dome in November.
The singer, real name Josh Tillman, has achieved critical and commercial success as a solo artist after a spell drumming for folk band the Fleet Foxes.
He comes to Brighton on November 9.
His most recent album Pure Comedy, released in April this year, scored an average of 85 on reviews database website Metacritic.
Tillman has also become known for his outspoken personality and in-depth explanations of his work and the role of art.
To accompany Pure Comedy he wrote an 1800 word essay on the record's themes.
