RESIDENTS have been given more opportunities to have their say on a £69 million road scheme.

Highways England is consulting on plans to improve the A27 junctions at Worthing and Lancing until Tuesday, September 12.

A series of public exhibitions, with experts on hand, have been arranged to start today between 1pm and 8pm at the Harriet Johnson Centre in Old School House, Loose Lane, Sompting, and then on Saturday between 10am and 2pm at Impulse Leisure Lancing Manor, Manor Road, Lancing.

The same venue will host again on Saturday, August 12, from 10am to 2pm before the consultation moves to Richmond Room in Worthing Assembly Hall, Stoke Abbott Road on Tuesday, August 15, from 1pm to 8pm and then back to the Harriet Johnson Centre the following day between 1pm and 8pm.

Further consultations will be held on Saturday, September 2, from 10am to 2pm at Worthing Assembly Hall and finally on Wednesday, September 6, from 1pm to 8pm at Field Place Manor House, The Boulevard.

Last week MPs Tim Loughton and Sir Peter Bottomley said the plans did not represent a ‘longer-term fix’.
