Albion have completed the loan signing of Izzy Brown from Chelsea on a season-long deal.

The 20-year-old is expected to feature in tonight's friendly at Southend United.

His imminent arrival was revealed earlier today at theargus.co.uk

Brown spent last season on loan with Rotherham United and Huddersfield Town, helping the Terriers secure promotion through the play-offs.

He began his career at West Brom before moving to Chelsea four years ago.

Albion boss Chris Hughton said: "The natural progression for Izzy, having enjoyed such a successful season in the Championship last season, was to step up to the Premier League - and we are delighted he will be doing that with us, here at Brighton.

"He is a player with great potential and will bring a different dimension to our attacking options for the season ahead, alongside our existing strikers."

Brown spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.

He has played for England at every level from under-16 through to under-20.
