DETECTIVES hunting a teenager over a double stabbing in Brighton believe he is still in the city.

Jordan Ash, 18, is wanted in connection with an attack on an 18-year-old outside KFC in London Road, Brighton, on Saturday night.

Officers investigating the case last night appealed for those who were in the KFC to come forward.

Detective Constable Tom Coll, of Sussex Police, said: “CCTV shows at least seven customers in the restaurant at the time of the stabbing with four people – three men and a woman – clearly seeing what has happened. I ask them to call us so we can speak to them.

“We continue to seek Jordan Ash, an 18-year-old man from Brighton, in relation to the stabbing.

“We believe he is still in the city and anyone who has any information should contact us.

“We ask that should they see him not to challenge him but call 999 quoting serial 1363 of 22/07.”

Meshash McKenzie, a 23-year-old sales assistant who lives in Bolney Road, Brighton, and a 15-year-old boy appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court yesterday in connection with the stabbing.

Both denied the charges of causing grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife in a public place.

They will appear at Lewes Crown Court for a joint trial starting on August 21.

The victims, Dennis Thomas-Simpson and Jordan Jillians, are both 18. Mr Thomas-Simpson was treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, but later flown to London’s Kings College.

Last night he remained in a serious but stable condition.
