BRIGHTON and Hove Buses has made it to the finals in two categories at the National Transport Awards.

The company is up for Operator of the Year and also has two finalists competing for Frontline Employee of the Year.

They are bus driver Phil Hadley and Special Constable Jamie Jackson.

Mr Hadley was nominated because he gets the most compliments from customers who go to the trouble of contacting the company.

Mr Jackson is the product of a unique partnership between Sussex Police and Brighton and Hove Buses.

He’s a serving police Special Constable who acts as the liaison between the organisations looking after the welfare and safety of passengers.

Company boss Martin Harris said: “Everyone in the organisation deserves this accolade.”
