A GARDEN Centre has been supporting two busy animal charities.
Worthing Guinea Pig Rescue and Sanctuary has rescued more than160 guinea pigs from one home, with at least 80 of the sows pregnant.
Due to the size of the problem the charity asked Lumpy Lodge, a rabbit and guinea pig rescue centre in Portslade, to help.
Lumpy Lodge approached Mayberry Garden Centre for support and the Portslade-based business donated food and bedding.
All the guinea pigs have been nursed back to health and are in safe hands.
Worthing Guinea Pig Rescue and Sanctuary is based in Angmering but its waiting list is currently closed as it is so busy.
Mayberry Garden Centre is on the Old Shoreham Road in Portslade.
Lumpy Lodge is situated in Beaconsfield Road, Portslade.
The garden centre is keen to support community projects.
