BRIGHTON and Hove Albion’s new alternative kit for the club’s first season in the Premier League was revealed live on stage in Sydney by Albion supporter Ben Thatcher from Royal Blood.

Our first-ever overseas kit launch saw the crowd at the Metro Theatre, Sydney, get the first glimpse of our new 2017/18 Nike alternative kit which is now available to order now at

Royal Blood drummer Ben Thatcher donned the shirt as he took to the stage in front of a packed auditorium as part of the band’s 2017 World tour.

The new University gold alternative shirt contains a black Nike swoosh and is supported by University gold shorts and black socks.

Albion fans can ensure they are among the first to receive the new alternative shirt by visiting and ordering now.

The shirt is now in store alongside the new home shirt.

The shirt has been constructed using the latest Nike technology, featuring Dri-FIT fabric, which helps keep you dry and comfortable, along with breathable mesh fabric, which delivers optimal ventilation.

The new shirt also contains raglan sleeves and side insets for mobility and a rib collar for a comfortable fit.

The kit will be worn for the first time when we take on Atlético de Madrid at the Amex on Sunday August 6.

The two clubs have agreed terms and have finalised the contract for the fixture which will be Albion’s final warm-up match before they make their Premier League bow the following weekend.

Diego Simeone’s side finished third in La Liga this season and the ten-time Spanish champions won their most recent title in 2014 under the guidance of the former Argentinian international.

He has also led them to two Champions League finals and one semi-final in the last four years.

Atletico would be the third Spanish visitors to the Amex.

Villarreal were 3-1 winners in pre-season 2013 while Europa League winners Sevilla were beaten 1-0, courtesy of a Tomer Hemed penalty in a 2015 friendly.

Brighton and Hove Albion fans attending the game are advised that the club will not be running their usual free matchday travel service for this fixture.

Fans intending to travel to the game via bus or train must therefore purchase a ticket to travel from the relevant transport provider.

Wherever possible, all fans are advised to get to the stadium as early as possible regardless of how they are travelling.

The club will also publish updated information.
