THE i360’s bar and restaurant has been revamped in time for its first anniversary.

The West Beach Bar and Kitchen has opened at the British Airways i360 after a nine-day makeover.

The all-day seafront venue has four zones; a restaurant offering Brighton-inspired dishes, a lounge bar, café and secluded group area.

The interior is designed by i360 creators Marks Barfield Architects with art provided by Gallery 40 and neon artist Andy Doig, creator of a bespoke piece inspired by murmurating starlings.

Formerly the Belle Vue, the venue closed for a refurbishment on July 24 in time for today’s one-year celebrations. Dishes include modern takes on seaside favourites such as panko crumbed catch of the day and beside the seaside Brighton bucket of mussels, cockles and langoustines.

The first 360 customers spending at least £15 a head in the venue tomorrow will receive one free flight voucher.

Head chef Alan Parker said: “Brighton Hove provide an endless source of inspiration for our chefs, encouraging us to be playful with our culinary creations and not be constrained by any single style.”
