MORE than 2,000 children and their families enjoyed free games, sports, art and competitions in Burgess Hill, East Grinstead and Haywards Heath as part of Play Day 2017.
Mid Sussex District Council organised the sessions, which this year were based around the theme of “wheels in motion”, to give local youngsters fun activities to enjoy during the summer holidays.
Councillor Bruce Forbes, chairman of Mid Sussex District Council, said: “Our free play day events just keep getting better and it’s great to see more and more people supporting them each year.”
“We had another fabulous turnout this year.”
