LANGUAGE school students have raised more than £1,000 for a little boy with a rare genetic condition.
Students and staff at EC Brighton baked cakes and sold raffle tickets, raising £1,009 for The Argus Appeal, which is helping to raise funds for two-year-old Loui Herriott-Heath.
The money will go towards funding operations he needs to live with Treacher Collins syndrome, which affects the development of facial bones and tissue.
The language school, where The Argus has its office in Manchester Street, Brighton, got all its 400 students and 20 staff involved in the fundraising.
Student services co-ordinator Dorian Maillet said: “We broke a school record with the amount of money we raised for little Loui. Raising money for charity is a great way to involve the school in our local community.”
