A BUS crashed into a telegraph pole moments after leaving its depot.
There were no injuries this morning in Station Road in Henfield when shortly after 6am the driver of a Stagecoach bus left the carriageway, mounted the embankment and smashed into a telegraph pole.
The vehicle had just left its depot a few hundred yards away and there were no passengers on board.
A nearby homeowner, who heard the crash from his bedroom, told The Argus that when he spoke to the driver - who appeared to him shaken but otherwise well - he said he had slipped from his seat.
The bus has been moved but the road is currently closed while police and council crews deal with the clean-up.
