A MAN needed stitches after being attacked late at night.
The 28-year-old was walking to Seaford Railway Station in Claremont Road when he was set upon.
Police believe there was a lone attacker. He was a white man in his mid-thirties, around 6ft 2in, large build with short blond wavy hair. He was wearing pale shirt and blue jeans.
The victim’s cheek was cut deeply and his eye socet fractured. He had severe bruising and swelling.
He was treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where he had ten stitches.
The attack happened between 12.30am and 1am on Sunday, August 20.
Detective Constable Helen Kelly of Sussex Police urged anyone with information to contact her on 101, quoting serial 1143 of August 20.
