TWO women brawled with a bouncer and made racial slurs.

Amy Jarvis, of Norfolk House, Chapel Road, Worthing, and friend Coral Vickery argued with the bouncer after he got them evicted from Yates bar in West Street, Brighton, in April.

Unemployed mother-of-three Jarvis, 30, was on a night out with friends, one of whom had previously been banned from the bar, Brighton Magistrates’ Court heard yesterday.

Hanish Giga, who was working on the door of another bar, noticed the man and stepped in to have the group kicked out at around 7pm on April 1, to the anger of both women.

They had bought £40 of drinks, and 29-year-old Vickery, of Plaza Court, Eriswell Road, Worthing, demanded staff give them a refund.

After she was kicked out, Vickery punched Mr Giga on the head, which he compared to being hit by a male.

Jarvis proceeded to threaten Mr Giga, claiming she had a knife. It was later proved she did not, the court was told.

The group then moved on to a bar in North Street, where they were confronted by police shortly afterwards.

During her arrest Vickery racially abused Mr Giga.

Jarvis resisted arrest, and slurred to the officer: “When I get up I’m going to nut you all. All because you believe the **** **** bouncer. I’m going to bite your nose off.”

Magistrate Barbara Dart said the comments were not directly aimed at Mr Giga, who said he was not offended, but theycould have offended others as the incident happened in a public place.

Ms Dart took into account both women’s early guilty pleas when sentencing.

Jarvis was fined £262 for obstructing a police officer and making racially aggravated comments in a public place.

The racial element increased her fine from a £52 Band A to £105 Band B.

Vickery, who is unemployed and in debt of more than £3,000, was told to pay £93 for assault, plus £93 for the racially-aggravated aspect of it.

Both women have been ordered to pay £30 victim surcharges and £100 each in costs.
