HERE is your chance to help a Worthing charity celebrate the fifth year of its flagship fundraising event.

A Walk to Remember staged by Guild Care is taking place on Sunday October 8.

You can challenge yourself to walk, run or jog the 5km or 10km route along Worthing promenade.

Funds will go to for services which are invaluable respite for local people with dementia, and their carers.

Everyone is welcome – from running enthusiasts and dog walkers to babies in buggies, dog owners, and people walking in memory of a loved one.

If you’re a serious runner A Walk to Remember offers you the chance to train for your next event locally or challenge yourself to cross the fundraising finishing line first.

If you prefer to walk at your own pace you can take part in a seaside stroll to help the Worthing charity.

Entry is just £10 per person, £25 per family of four (two adults and two children under 16) or £40 per group of five and includes a fundraising pack, T-shirt, medal and refreshments.

Dogs can join in with the Woof to Remember and it’s £1 per dog.

Suzanne Millard, CEO of Guild Care, said: “Whether you’re walking to remember a loved one with dementia, to soak up the fun filled atmosphere, for a wonderful walk along Worthing seafront or simply want to make it a day to stand out, your sponsorship money will make a huge difference to local people with dementia.”
