A FOOTBALL fan has become a millionaire after predicting Saturday’s Premier League scores.

Grace Berry, 24, has become the first person to win the £1 million top prize for playing SkyBet’s Super 6 online prediction game.

Each week fans are tasked with predicting the correct scores in six matches.

Last weekend, Skybet bosses said the £1 million prize would be given away to whoever got the most correct scores.

A total of 1,442,385 people took part with three players tied on 24 points for getting the most correct.

It then came down to a tie break - with all participants asked before kick off to predict the time of the first goal.

Grace, from Shoreham, said: “It is all down to my partner Matt, he deserves the praise.

“I was going to go for something else but he said let’s go for the sixth minute as our anniversary is in June, the sixth month.

“They called me up on Sunday and I just couldn’t believe it.

“I hung up on the guy twice, I was certain it was a scam.

“But Matt told me to calm down and call him back and that’s when it started to sink in.”

Grace, who is a Manchester United supporter, has former Red Devil Danny Welbeck’ to thank for scoring the crucial goal.

The Arsenal player scored in the sixth minute in the North London side’s three nil win over Bournemouth.

Grace has been with partner Matt Rix, 25, for eight years.

She said she plans to spend the money “sensibly” on getting them set up for the future.

She added: “We are going to look at buying a house and we may spend a bit on a few luxuries as well.”

Yesterday Grace and Matt were visited by SkySports’ Jeff Stelling and Paul Merson, who handed over the prize.

She said: “I hate all the attention but it’s great to have won, I won’t lie.

“But it is Matt who really deserves the credit to be honest.

“It was my account but Matt helped me to make all the predictions, he is the real star of the show.”
