Solly March said Albion stopped playing after his goal put them ahead.

And it cost them at least a point at Bournemouth.

March rose at the far post to head the Seagulls into a second-half lead.

But they were sent to a 2-1 defeat as Andrew Surman and Jermain Defoe struck.

March said: “We seemed to stop playing when we were 1-0 up. We should have kept pressing and keep the ball and believed in ourselves a bit more.

“It’s frustrating. They came out fast and we expected that because they hadn’t got any points. But I thought we coped with it well.

“We didn’t keep the ball in the first half but we started the second half well.

“But, going 1-0 up, we have got to at least come away with a point.”
