A MAN has appeared in court accused of being racially abusive to a Tesco security guard.
Marshall Mathers, 43, of Grand Parade, Brighton, pleaded not guilty to racially aggravated alarm or distress.
Brighton magistrates heard on Monday that he had been abusive to security guard Nafi Ahmed at the Tesco Express in Jubilee Street, Brighton, on August 24.
Mathers will reappear in court for trial on October 23.
