Liam Rosenior wants to play for Albion at Bournemouth tomorrow.

And he is convinced he is not the only one.

The Seagulls go back west for Carabao Cup action, four days after losing to the Cherries in the Premier League.

There will be very few survivors in the starting line-ups from the XIs who kicked off on Friday.

But Rosenior would not mind being one of them, even if it is in a different position.

He said: “I think there are a lot of lads who are looking forward to it.

“There are lads who haven’t had a start, which included myself up until Friday.

“It is really important that we come here and be positive and enjoy the game.”

Ezequiel Schelotto is set to feature in the right-back berth occupied by Rosenior in the absence of Bruno on Friday.

But, on the other flank, Gaetan Bong has been ruled out by a muscle strain of late.

That could offer Rosenior the desired game-time at left-back, assuming Markus Suttner is rested.

He said: “I’ve been waiting for the chance at right-back at this level.

“I thought I did myself justice (on Friday). I felt really comfortable out there.

“Fitness-wise, I can improve. I was cramping up with 20 minutes to go and was quite tired.

“I was out for six months last season and played probably three or four games so I need time and fitness.

“I’m more than confident I am good enough at Premier League level and hopefully I can help the team.

“Gaetan has been out injured and I can do left-back as well.

“We need bodies, we need a big squad.

“Everybody is going to play their part this year and I am happy to play that part anywhere the manager sees fit.”
