FREEDOM Works - a modern and creative co-working space along with 11 private offices - is expanding into Hove.

The initiative, which opened its first office in Worthing last September, will officially launch the Creative Hub at Hove Business Centre in Fonthill Road.

The new serviced offices will offer small businesses and the local co-working community the chance to better serve their customer-base with the private offices and 30 dedicated hot desks.

The new hub will also offer members a dedicated space for networking events, a brand-new kitchen and refreshment area, bike storage; and a creative open plan workspace accommodating permanent desk holders and several hot desks for those just wanting to turn up and work for the day.

One of the main attractions and selling-points of the new hub is its proximity to Hove train station.

Statistics show that in the South East 33 per cent of workers commute by train whereas the national average is 29 per cent.

Jon Trigg, Freedom Works founder, said: “That’s why one of our aims is to keep ‘home grown talent at home.

“By having the space next to the station, we believe this offers an option to those not wishing to head up to London for the day.”

The Creative Hub community will also provide 24-hour access seven days a week for dedicated members; flexible membership packages including permanent dedicated desks or those who just wish to use a desk for an hour or two; enhanced security with CCTV; free tea, coffee and fresh fruit; access to workshops and networking events; and Free Beer Friday.

Mr Trigg said: “The overarching objective behind Freedom Works is to produce a network of co-working spaces throughout Sussex to create an environment which encourages productivity and collaboration.

“Another key benefit for those commuting from Hove is that when they are faced with potential Southern Rail strikes and delays, they have somewhere close-by to work for the day.

“A core market for us are the commuters fed up of having to get on a train or those faced with delays and cancellations.

“Therefore, the Hove station co-working space offers flexibility where stranded or distressed commuters can simply work from Hove for £15 a day if they miss the train.

“The Creative Hub is perfectly positioned to encourage and help develop local micro businesses, entrepreneurs and establishing SMEs.”

The Freedom Works Worthing members’ directory includes marketers; graphic designers; web developers; PR consultants; recruitment companies; business consultants; HR advisers; journalists; data forensic experts; and accountants.

Many of these have grown their business and expanded into the private offices offered by Freedom Works.

At the Worthing launch, Mr Trigg said: “We recognised that Worthing needed more co-working environments, as these do play a large part in helping businesses thrive, and we are pleased to be playing our part in that. “
