RAIL union the RMT has announced its guards and driver members are to strike again.
They will not book on for shifts with employers Southern Rail on either Tuesday October 3 and Thursday October 5.
The dispute is over the role of the guard, the extension of driver only operation and the guarantee of a second safety-critical member of staff.
RMT General Secretary Mick Cash said: “The RMT is bitterly disappointed that Southern Rail and the DFT continue to reject our call for round table discussions involving all parties with an interest in resolving this dispute.”
