TWO weekends of free entertainment will return to a popular festival next year.
Brighton Festival, which takes place in May each year, plays host to entertainment partnership Your Place again in 2018.
The events will be held in partnership with Brighton People’s Theatre, marking the second year of free entertainment in the Hangleton area.
Hosted by community centres, Your Place brought a diverse line-up of performances, workshops and activities to the people of Hangleton and East Brighton, with more than 2,000 people taking part.
Brighton Festival 2017 guest director and spoken word artist Kate Tempest said: “We thought it was important that as well as having this very exciting, cosmopolitan festival happening in the city centre, that it also represented the wider population of Brighton who may not afford to get [there].”
