ALBION are set to change their loyalty points scheme after their team played to a half-empty away section.
The Seagulls have revealed that nearly 50% of the 1,235 seats they sold for the cut-price Carabao Cup tie at Bournemouth went unused.
Adult tickets cost just £10 with concessionary prices also available.
Although the allocation was sold out, Albion are convinced many fans only bought tickets to secure the ten loyalty points on offer towards priority for future, in-demand, games.
A strongly-worded statement issued by Albion yesterday afternoon revealed: “This practice reached unacceptable levels at last night’s match and as a result we have now requested the attendance data from Bournemouth and will be reviewing this information very carefully over the next few days.
“Going forward, it is clear that changes need to be made to the club’s terms and conditions where they concern loyalty points.”
