THE North Street roadworks are progressing well, according to Southern Water.
Phase one of its eight-week programme to improve one of Brighton’s busiest roads has been successful.
New tarmac is set to be laid this week.
The first phase is covering the Clock Tower area, with phase two set to begin in the week commencing October 2.
It will cover the middle section of North Street.
Buses continue to be diverted along the seafront and other roads while the work is carried out.
