THE University of Sussex has been ranked one of the best in the South East.

It came third out of 19 universities in the region in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.

In total, 92.7 per cent of the university’s students complete their degree – higher than all other universities in the region, apart from Oxford.

The new guide also ranked Sussex number 27 in the country.

Adam Tickell, Sussex University’s vice-chancellor, said: “Our low drop-out rate in particular is a source of pride, being an area in which we have heavily invested. But we must not be complacent and we need to continue to do everything we can to deliver an exceptional student experience. We know we need to do much more to improve assessment and giving feedback, for example.”

The guide is published in the newspaper over three days, starting yesterday.
