A windmill restoration project has received a prestigious Heritage Award.
The Grade II* listed West Blatchington Windmill has received the 2017 Public and Community Award from the Sussex Heritage Trust.
The £100,000 scheme to return the mill to its former glory was a joint project involving Brighton and Hove City Council, construction and consultancy firms, and Friends of West Blatchington Windmill which contributed half the funding.
A commemorative plaque was attached to the windmill at a special ceremony last week.
