SUSSEX police are appealing to the residents of Patcham to tell them where a black pick up truck went after a hit and run.

The Ford Ranger knocked down Enkyed Islam outside the Ladies Mile pub on Mackie Avenue on Saturday night - then turned around and drove over him again before speeding off east along Mackie Avenue.

A pick-up truck was found burnt out in Stanmer Park on Sunday butr police want to know where it was after Enkyed, 19, was injured on Saturday night.

Two boys aged 14 and 15 arrested on suspicion of attempted murder have now been released after being questionned by detectives.

A third boy aged 17 appeared in court on Monday charged with theft of a vehicle from Rottingdean.

Detective Inspector Ian Still said: “We’re really keen to speak anyone who may have seen a black Ford Ranger, which was dirty in appearance, driving in or around the area over the weekend.

“Enquiries are still ongoing and we would urge any witnesses, or anyone with any information, to report it online quoting Operation Morston.”
