The wait is over - Albion are finally playing Everton again.

Sunday's fixture at the Amex (1.30pm) brings to an end the longest running gap for the Seagulls to be facing one of their Premier League rivals.

Albion have not played Everton since the build-up to their FA Cup final appearance in May 1983.

Gordon Smith warmed up for his unforgettable contribution against Manchester United at Wembley with a penalty in a 2-1 home defeat a month earlier.

Next on the list are Chelsea. The Boxing Day visit to Stamford Bridge will be the first time Albion have played them since March 1989.

Next month's trip to Old Trafford will be the first tussle with Manchester United since January 1993.

Albion have played everyone else in the Amex era, apart from Swansea (August 2009) and Stoke (February 2011).
