POP star Gary Barlow is set for a Brighton gig next year.

The singer has enjoyed chart success both as a solo artist and in massive boy band Take That. He will play the Brighton Centre on May 14, 2018.

Barlow formed Take That in 1990 with Jason Orange, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams, who went on to have a hugely successful solo career.

After splitting up in 1996 - prompting helplines to be set up for mourning fans - Take That reunited in 2005. The band are still releasing albums and touring.

Barlow has forged a lucrative career as a solo musician, releasing four albums under his own name.

He became a judge on The X Factor in 2011, holding the role until Simon Cowell returned to replace the singer.

Tickets for Barlow's Brighton gig go on sale on Friday, October 20 at 10am. For tickets and more information visit brightoncentre.co.uk
