ONLOOKERS watched in horror as a man was floored while trying to defuse a fight.

The incident happened in George Street, off St James's Street in Kemp Town, about an hour ago.

One shop owner said: "I looked out the window and someone was being kicked on the floor.

"A passer by tried to stop the fight but someone punched him to the ground.
