Albion will not face the aerial threat from Andy Carroll against West Ham at the London Stadium next Friday night.

The centre-forward was sent-off for two yellow cards in the space of 99 seconds at Burnley today.

Carroll, who played under Albion boss Chris Hughton at Newcastle, received his marching orders after 27 minutes of the 1-1 draw at Turf Moor.

Michail Antonio put the Hammers ahead eight minutes earlier and they held out until former Albion loan signing Chris Wood equalised for Burnley five minutes from time.

Albion have dropped two places to 16th ahead of Everton's visit tomorrow, a point below West Ham and Swansea, who were 2-0 winners at home to Huddersfield.

Crystal Palace picked up their first points and scored their first goals of the season in a surprise 2-1 victory over Chelsea at Selhurst Park.

Bournemouth stay next-to-bottom after losing 1-0 to Spurs at Wembley.

Albion will shoot up to tenth if they beat Everton, back to 14th with a draw.
