Albion boss Chris Hughton is already thinking about the January transfer window.

But he fears it will be difficult to add to the strike force.

Hughton said: "January is probably the most difficult period to bring players in. Clubs are reluctant to let players go. Decisions have to be made.

"By the time December comes clubs might think differently to a few months before - maybe there's an area they need to strengthen which they didn't before. Or have an injury they have to supplement.

"Clubs will have a feeling of what other clubs need but there may be a reluctance to let a player go or certainly a reluctance to help out another team which might be in a similar are to where they are. January becomes very difficult."

Albion's priority will be a forward after missing out in the summer window.

Hughton said: "We had a very good January two seasons ago when we brought in Knockaert and Skalak. They were two players who ended up having really good half seasons for us. So we were successful in that one but it's very difficult."
