Albion defender Shane Duffy's World Cup finals dream with the Republic of Ireland depends on defeating Denmark.
But it is unclear whether he will play a part.
The Republic have been paired against the Danes over two legs in today's World Cup play-offs draw.
The first leg takes place in Denmark between November 9 and 11, the second leg in Dublin between November 12 and 14.
Duffy was forced off by a groin injury towards the end of Sunday's 1-1 home draw against his first club Everton.
He is a major doubt for Albion's visit to West Ham on Friday night (8pm).
Albion midfielder Oliver Norwood, on loan at Fulham, faces Switzerland in the play-offs with Northern Ireland.
The Irish nations have avoided Italy, who play Sweden, and Croatia - up against Greece.
