A MAN caught with hundreds of child porn images on his computer has been spared jail.
Paul Evans, 52, from Telscombe Cliffs, was found to have downloaded 800 indecent pictures of children on his laptop when police raided his home after his web activity was flagged up.
He pleaded guilty to making 336 category A indecent photographs of a child – images of the most serious nature – at Brighton Magistrates’ Court last month.
The court heard his lust for child porn was exposed when his online activity caused concern.
Between November 30, 2016 and December 1, 2016 he uploaded 110 indecent images to the internet using online file sharing software.
Officers monitoring the web identified his IP address which was registered to his home in Telscombe Cliffs Way, Telscombe Cliffs, Peacehaven.
Police raided his home to seize his computer on July 5.
Evans was found to have 336 Category A images involving penetrative sexual activity with children.
He was sentenced to ten months suspended for two years and made to sign the sex offenders register.
He was given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years.
