ASHLEY Hills from Brighton visited the House of Lords after successfully completing an electricity apprenticeship at UK Power Networks.
He was one of 15 UK Power Networks’ apprentices who attended a celebratory event to mark the 100th Trailblazer apprentice to pass their assessments.
Ash specialised in overhead power lines and is now a linesman.
All completed the employer-led Trailblazer Apprenticeship Standard, including a qualification in electrical power engineering.
Basil Scarsella, CEO of UK Power Networks, said: “Our employees are the life blood of our business and our apprentices are, and will be, vital contributors.
“They have worked hard to meet the high standards which we require.”
