A DRAMA company is looking for rising stars to appear in a production of Les Misérables.

Ariel Company Theatre, which is based in Burgess Hill, is searching for the next Jean Valjean, Javert, Marius, Fantine, Eponine and Cosette for its 2018 youth production.

The production will be staged at the Capitol Theatre, Horsham, in November next year.

Anyone interested should attend the auditions which will be held next month, on November 12, at Burgess Hill Academy, formerly Oakmeeds Community College.

Applicants should be aged eight to 18 years of age.

Company director Neil Hopson said: “We would be delighted to see lots of young people auditioning.

“The successful cast will have the opportunity to work with an experienced director, choreographer and voice coaches who have many years of knowledge and skills in the theatre industry.

“They will also experience Ariel’s unique way of working which will really challenge and develop their skill, whilst making new friends and having a great time”

He added: “Ariel has a long history of producing high quality musicals and plays and has received praise and acclaim for their productions which have included Miss Saigon, Oliver!, We Will Rock You and plays such as History Boys, DNA and The Edelweiss Pirates.

“All applicants will be very welcome at the audition which will be held at Burgess Hill Academy.

“With its own costume and technical divisions, the production values on Les Misérables will be of a very high standard.”
