A HOUSE went up in flames in an early morning fire.

Firefighters were called to the derelict building in Chapel Lane, Crawley Down, at 1.24am, and the blaze was still alight at 7.30am.

Two floors were gutted along with the roof.

Four engines and a water carrier were on hand to tackle the blaze.

Crews from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service remain at the scene of the two-storey house.

A spokesman for WSFRS said there were no reports of any injuries.
