A CARE worker has scooped a regional award.
Adrian Towers won the Home Care Worker Award in the Great British Care Awards, South East Regional Finals at The Hilton Hotel in Brighton.
Adrian works for Alina Homecare based in Woodingdean.
He was praised by colleagues and clients for his commitment to supporting elderly people to remain independent in their own homes and enjoy a good quality of life.
Typical of Adrian, he arranged a pet befriending dog to visit some of his clients who are no longer able to keep pets of their own.
He was recently observed by a member of the public assisting one of his clients with their shopping.
She was so impressed with his attitude and care she followed him around the supermarket listening to how he encouraged the client to make healthy food choices.
Adrian will now join other winners at the UK finals in March 2018.
